Programme Advisory Group

Role

The Core Programme Advisory Group (PAG) will provide independent advice to the Valuing Nature Programme Coordination Team (PCT). An Outer Advisory Group is also being established to bring in broader expertise.

Specifically the Core PAG will provide advice on PCT activities to:

  • Support the Valuing Nature Programme of research
  • Promote development of interdisciplinary research capability through engaging diverse communities
  • Develop the Valuing Nature Network community
  • Maximise the impact of Valuing Nature Programme research.

The PAG will be asked to:

  • Advise on PCT engagement and other activities, including contributing to scoping the content of funding calls under the Programme
  • Advise on PCT plans, on reporting progress to the Programme Executive Board, and on any issues raised
  • Advise on engaging diverse research disciplines and user communities, and take an active role to help deliver communications to those communities
  • Help develop collaborations including making links to other initiatives and identifying emerging opportunities
  • Advise on PCT activities to produce syntheses of Valuing Nature research, and to help develop the legacy from the Programme
  • Advise on maximising impact through policy, business and practitioner engagement.
