Chaired by Professor Louise Heathwaite (Lancaster Environment Centre) this debate will bring together a range of experts to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with refining the ecosystem services concept i.e. the multiple benefits people obtain from ecosystems.
This workshop is designed to explore the range of approaches, assumptions and research priorities concerning the valuation of biodiversity, ecosystem services and natural resource use. The one day meeting with a focus on gathering input from researchers across the field of economics (including agricultural, ecological, environmental, and resource economics) with a special interest in socio-ecological processes and human well-being.
